Logan Dodson

Coach Logan Dodson is entering his 6th year as a member of the Oxford Chargers football coaching staff and 8th year overall. Coach Dodson is currently the Wide Receivers coach and Special Teams Coordinator while also serving as the Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator. He started his football coaching career as a wide receiver coach at East Coast Prep in Great Barrington, MA in 2014. In 2015, he came to Oxford High to serve as the varsity tight ends coach/freshman offensive skills coach and later transitioned to the varsity wide receiver coach and junior varsity offensive coordinator the following year. In 2017, Coach Dodson was the wide receiver coach and junior varsity/freshman offensive coordinator for the Hernando Tigers. Since coming back to Oxford in 2018, Coach Dodson has been in charge of the Charger wide receivers and special teams.

Coach Dodson was recently named the 2020 Region 1-6A Assistant Coach of the Year and helped develop a Charger record four signees at the Wide Receiver position for the Class of 2021. He has also served as an assistant quarterback, running back, and tight end coach in the 2019 NEMFCA All-Star game. .

Coach Dodson is an Algebra 1 and AP Statistics teacher at Oxford High School and was a 2018 Star Teacher for former Oxford Tight End Joe O’Keefe. Coach Dodson also serves on the Whole Child Initiative Team as the coaches representative for OHS and he is currently the head sponsor of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Coach Dodson is currently an assistant boys powerlifting coach for the Chargers and had previously served as an assistant baseball coach for both the 2015 and 2016 5A State Champions.

Coach Dodson is a graduate of Homewood High School in Birmingham, Alabama and received his Associates Degree from Northwest Mississippi Community before completing his Bachelors Degree from the University of Mississippi, where he was a 2014 Taylor Medalist. In 2020, he received his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Coach Dodson is married to his wife Kelsey who is the 11th and12th grade counselor at Oxford High School. The couple have two boys, Still and Henry, and are members of Grace Bible Church.
